Garment Re-use and Recycling

Disposing of Decorated (embroidered, screen-printed, sublimated, heat-pressed, emblem etc.) Garments has always been a problem. This is especially the case with WORKWEAR. Many companies have to attach logos and wording to garments for tax and security reasons. These garments must then be given back to the employer after use to dispose of securely to avoid other people wearing them and pretending to be employees.
Until now the only way to deal with these garments was to have them shredded and the fibres used for recycling into new fabrics or wipes.
At ETC Supplies we have looked into this situation and with the support of Centre for Remanufacturing and Reuse we have developed new and innovative ways by which garments, bags and caps etc can be decorated by heat-press embroidery, heat-press emblems, heat-press flex and even heat-press diamante.
The garments etc, can have the logos applied by heat press using various methods that we have and these can then be worn and laundered as usual. When the garment is ready for recycling, it can be returned and using a special spray on product that neutralises the adhesive the logo can be removed without damage to the garment. This means that often high quality and expensive garments, bags and caps can then be sent to third world countries for re-use.
This is a simple yet very effective method to make good use of our worlds resources and at the same time help those people who are less fortunate then oursleves.
If the garments and heat-pressed logos are purchased from us then we can make arrangements to have the used products returned to us for the emblems to be removed and the garments sent away for recycling.
All you have to do is think outside the box. It does not cost you any more!
Please contact us for more details.
